What ideas do you have on where you are going to film?
Evaluate potential locations against each other:
Filming in the school is good as its easier to film as well as having access to a location which i know is somewhere i can film. It can also make it easier to film the advert. Filming in the school is suitable for my advert as it is appropriate to film in, and you could get others to be in your advert to advertise the product and make it look appealing which also goes towards creativity as making others tasting the chocolate.
Filming inside on a green screen makes it easier for me to make the advert as well as having access to it from the school. It will also be easier to edit once done. This would be technical as it would need to edited for example the chocolate bar on the screen and words perhaps the slogan and some words from the narrator about how good the chocolate and where to buy it.
Filming in a shop is useful and good as you can go to a corner shop where they sell the product and ask for permission to film and use the product and make an actual commercial which is much easier as everything needed is there. Filming in a shop wouldn't be so technical as not much is needed to be done as you just need a camera man and someone going into the shop point out the chocolate bar and try and review it.
The differences between the locations:
The first location which is a school would be filmed outside within the school in the playground. This is useful as it would made a good advert/commercial.
The second location which is on a green screen is filmed indoors and everything would be edited onto the screen by using green screen which is quicker but will need more editing.
The third location which is in a shop would be filmed in the shop with permission and is the easiest best one to do if permission is allowed as you can just advertise the chocolate while having it in front of you as well.
What is your final ideal location to film this chocolate bar advert?
My final location would be a mix of 2 of my locations which are the school and the shop. This is because it would be good to advertise this way and would be a better understanding for the audience. The school part of the advert will have students try the chocolate and say its good then have a narrator say where to get the chocolate from and switch scenes to the shop and show the chocolate and what shops to buy it from. I have chosen the location of the school and shop so it will reach and appeal to the right target audience.
